Japanese Interpreter

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Japanese Interpreter to provide language support for Japanese executives and the Assistant Factory Manager. This position focuses on accurate oral and written interpretation and requires familiarity with manufacturing operations, especially plastic injection processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Interpret discussions, meetings, and communications between Japanese leaders, management, and local staff
• Translate documents, instructions, and materials related to production, with emphasis on plastic injection
• Support Japanese executives and the Assistant Factory Manager by ensuring clear and effective daily communication
• Offer basic cultural assistance to help strengthen coordination between Japanese and Filipino teams
• Handle all information with strict confidentiality and professionalism

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficient in Nihongo, both spoken and written
• Background or working knowledge of manufacturing processes; plastic injection experience is preferred
• One (1) to two (2) years of related interpreting experience
• Dedicated interpreter role (no additional administrative or production duties)
• Japanese language certification is an advantage but not required
• Strong communication and people skills
• Dependable, professional, and able to handle sensitive information
